Data Deletion Policy

Velocity Tech Solutions ("Velocity," "we," "us," or "our") respects your right to control your personal data. This Data Deletion Policy explains how you can request the deletion of your data from our Services, including the Client Portal, Social Studio, and any data obtained through third-party platform integrations such as Facebook.

This policy supplements our Privacy Policy and is provided in compliance with the requirements of Facebook, Meta, and applicable data protection regulations.

1. Your Right to Data Deletion

You have the right to request the deletion of personal data we have collected about you. This includes:

Account information (name, email, contact details) stored in the Client Portal.
Project data, documents, and communications shared through the Client Portal.
Social media content, scheduling data, and analytics collected through the Social Studio.
Data obtained from connected third-party platforms, including Facebook page data, access tokens, and engagement metrics.
Usage data, preferences, and cookies associated with your account.

2. How to Request Data Deletion

You can request deletion of your data by following any of the methods below:

Email Request

Send an email to info@velocity-tech.com with the subject line "Data Deletion Request." Include your full name, the email address associated with your account, and a description of the data you would like deleted.

Disconnect Social Media Accounts

You can disconnect your Facebook or other social media accounts from the Social Studio at any time through your account settings. Once disconnected, we will cease accessing data from those platforms. To also delete previously collected data, submit a deletion request via email.

Facebook Data Deletion

If you connected your Facebook account to our Services, you may also request data deletion directly through Facebook. Go to your Facebook Settings → Apps and Websites → find Velocity Tech Solutions → click Remove. This will revoke our access. To confirm deletion of data already collected, contact us via email.

3. What Happens When You Request Deletion

Upon receiving a valid data deletion request, we will:

Verify your identity: We will confirm your identity to ensure the request is coming from the account holder or an authorized representative. We may ask for verification information such as your account email or other identifying details.
Process your request: We will delete or anonymize your personal data from our active systems within 30 days of verification. In some cases, processing may take up to 45 days for complex requests, and we will notify you if additional time is needed.
Confirm completion: Once deletion is complete, we will send you a confirmation via email.

4. Data We May Retain

In certain limited circumstances, we may be required or permitted to retain some data even after a deletion request. This includes:

Legal obligations: Data that must be retained to comply with applicable laws, regulations, legal proceedings, or governmental requests (e.g., tax records, contractual obligations, or fraud prevention).
Billing records: Transaction and billing records associated with paid services may be retained as required for accounting and tax purposes.
Aggregated or anonymized data: Data that has been fully anonymized and can no longer be associated with you may be retained for analytics and service improvement purposes.
Backup systems: Data in encrypted backup systems may persist for a limited period (typically up to 90 days) before being automatically purged through our regular backup rotation cycle.

If any data must be retained, we will inform you of the reason and the expected retention period.

5. Facebook-Specific Data Deletion

This section addresses data deletion for information obtained through Facebook platform integrations, as required by Meta's Platform Terms.

When you request deletion of Facebook-related data, we will delete:

Facebook page IDs, page names, and profile metadata associated with your connected pages.
Access tokens and authentication credentials stored for your Facebook accounts.
Post content, scheduling data, and drafts created in the Social Studio for your Facebook pages.
Engagement metrics and analytics data (likes, shares, comments, reach, impressions) collected from your Facebook pages.

Content that was published to Facebook through the Social Studio will remain on Facebook itself, as it is governed by Facebook's own terms and policies. To delete published content from Facebook, you must do so directly on the Facebook platform.

6. Deletion of Account vs. Specific Data

You may request either:

Full account deletion: Removes your account and all associated data from the Client Portal and Social Studio. This action is permanent and cannot be undone.
Partial data deletion: Removes specific categories of data (e.g., only Facebook-related data, only Social Studio analytics, or only project files from a specific engagement) while keeping your account active.

Please specify your preference when submitting your deletion request.

7. Third-Party Data

If your data has been shared with third-party service providers as described in our Privacy Policy, we will make reasonable efforts to notify those providers of your deletion request. However, we cannot guarantee deletion from third-party systems, and you may need to contact those providers directly.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Data Deletion Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
